Music Ministry
We are a spiritual community, inspired by spiritual teachers and teachings from around the world.
Songs and hymns can center around inspiration of nature, the necessity for social justice, the importance of community, and the beauty of compassion.
Our choir is a chance to sing about it all, as we do it together!
All Ages Community Choir
The choir’s repertoire ranges from traditional church music to spirituals to Broadway musicals and more. The choir also participates in the GNOUU annual music service. From time to time, the choir is featured in choral worship services. Past performances include Camille Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio (with orchestra), Missa de Angelis (a Gregorian Chant Mass), The Music of Robert J. Powell (a choral worship service), and other programs with general or seasonal themes. These special occasions are always prepared and conducted in close collaboration with the minister of the church.
The choral library is continually growing and now contains approximately 80 sets of anthems and several sets of major works. The choir enjoys the use of a fine Young Chang grand piano when singing with instrumental accompaniment.
