July 26: The Odyssey, Hospitality, and the Importance of Storytelling
Michele Firestone
One of the overarching themes of the Odyssey is xenia, or the sacred rule of hospitality. We’ll explore why real, meaningful hospitality is so important and how storytelling is such a big part of that.
Michele Firestone has been a member of CCUU since 2021 and was formerly a member of North Shore UU for many years. She is currently cochair of the worship ministry and chair of the community justice ministry. She is a happily retired paralegal and lives with her 13 year-old puppy, Roux, who has recently become the unofficial mascot of CCUU Game Night.

Community Lighthouse Project
Community Church Unitarian Universalist is proud to be part of the Community Lighthouse Project with Together New Orleans.
This project works towards connecting 85 places in the community with solar power and backup batteries. These “lighthouses” help keep people safe and supported during power outages and disasters. CCUU is one of these important hubs!
