Bringing justice, equity, and compassion to our community, together!

ANNOUNCEMENT

Community Church Unitarian Universalist is delighted to announce the arrival of our new minister, the Reverend Gordon Clay Bailey.  Reverend Bailey’s first sermon at CCUU will be September 6th at 11:00 a.m.  Join us in giving him and his family a warm, New Orleans welcome and in celebrating this important transition!

Reverend Bailey comes to us from Burbank, California where he was the minister at Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society. He earned his Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC and has served various ministry positions at UU congregations in Glendale, California; Orange, New Jersey; Washington, D.C.; Pomona, Garden City, Utica, Oneonta, and New York City, New York; and Las Vegas, Nevada.  We are excited about the vision and energy he will bring to our congregation and community.

Reverend Bailey can be contacted directly at minister@ccuunola.org.

September 6: Coming Home, Becoming Together

Rev. Gordon Bailey

A new ministry is an invitation to imagine what we might become together. Rev. Gordon Clay Bailey comes to Community Church with years of ministry behind him and deep ancestral ties to New Orleans—but this next chapter belongs to all of us. Honoring the traditions that brought CCUU this far, we will explore how our mission, vision, and covenant can guide a shared ministry of love, service, justice, joy, and possibility.
