August 30: Fools for Life

There is a tradition of “fools” in churches that have special wisdom, or in castles that have “special” knowledge of the royal courts in Medieval Days forward who were court Jesters. They are “fools” that see and therefore know what others don’t….as in the Beatles’ The Fool on the Hill. I will share with you some of this wise and foolish tradition. Is there foolish wisdom for our lives today? Today that seems so heavy and very foolish not in the religious cultural tradition of wise or Holy Fools.

This project works towards connecting 85 places in the community with solar power and backup batteries. These “lighthouses” help keep people safe and supported during power outages and disasters. CCUU is one of these important hubs!
